- Teams musthave 1-4 participants to be eligible for a prize. While we encourage everyone to join a team, it’s to compete solo.
- Only students from Sheffield univirsities are allowed to compete given that they are also 18+ years old.
- Teams may use an idea they had before the event as long no work has been done on the idea. All work submitted must be new and completed between the start of hacking and the end of submissions.
- Code reuse from previous submissions is not allowed.
- Teams can use libraries, open-source code or frameworks is allowed, but working on a project before the event and open-sourcing it for the sole purpose of using it in your hack is against the spirit of the competition and not allowed.
- Teams must stop working on their hack once time is up.
- Teams can be disqualified from the competition at the organizer’s discretion for reasons including but not limited to:
- Breaking the competition rules
- Violating the code of conduct
- Unsporting behavior or behavior against the spirit of the competition.
